Stephane Wrembel was was born in Paris, France, on a snowy night in February 1974. His craving for playing the guitar started at 15, after seeing his Uncle playing the blues on his old Fender Stratocaster. He was 20 when he discovered Django Reinhardt. Wrembel studied at the American School in Paris, in Jazz Composition and Arranging, and at Berklee College of Music, in Boston. Wrembel now composes and plays Gypsy music with his own sound, blending influences from all over the world, allowing room for space and more rhythm possibilities. He performs tonight with his trio a style he calls Gypsy Jam.
