David Fried Oppenheim, Co-Executive Director & Co-Founder
David Fried Oppenheim, is the co-founder of the Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton with his wife, Sonia. David attended SUNY Purchase as a student of Drama and studied direction under the head of the Opera Conservatory, Peter Schlosser. David taught and directed theater for two years at Sock 'N Buskin Theater in Melrose, Massachusetts. He went on to direct with the Hampstead Players, an international touring theater company based in New Hampshire with over 3000 performances yearly. Subsequently, David served as Guest Director in the Opera Conservatory at Purchase College. In addition to running PACE, David runs a web development company, Creative Constructs.

Sonia Fried Oppenheim, Co-Executive Director & Co-Founder
Sonia Fried Oppenheim, is the co-founder of the Pioneer Arts Center of Easthampton with her husband, David. Sonia is a graduate of Smith College where she studied both theater and film. She worked in casting in New York City on films, television shows, commercials, and theater, before returning to the Pioneer Valley to start PACE. Sonia is also a cartoonist and accomplished film reviewer.

Jane Hanson, Theater Musical Director
Jane Hanson received a Bachelor of Music degree in voice iwth a minor in piano from the Universty of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master of Music degree in choral conducting from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. She is founder and director of The Proficient Musician, a professional development company designed to provide exceptional skill-based learning opportunities to music educators and performers. Within the last five years, Jane has served on the faculty of The University of Massachusetts at Amherst Department of Music and Dance, The Northampton Community Music Center, and The Williston Northampton School. She is a sought after clinician and private voice instructor, and has been a featured mezzo soprano solist with The Keene Chorale, The Tuesday Morning Music Club of Springfield, St. Brigid's Church in Amherst and as a guest performer with various chamber ensembles.
